Dominik Buschmann, PhD (dbuschm1@jhu.edu) obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology from the Technical University of Munich (TUM, Germany) before getting his PhD from TUM in July 2019. In his PhD work, he studied the potential utility of circulating microRNAs and extracellular vesicles (EVs) as disease markers. Dominik joined the Witwer lab in December 2019 and is currently working on novel methods to separate EVs from biofluids as well as therapeutic approaches to modulate EV secretion.
