Yiyao Huang, MD (yiyaohuang141@gmail.com) studied

Clinical Laboratory Medicine at the Southern Medical University, China and obtained her master and a bachelor degree in Clinical Medicine. Yiyao joined Dr. Kenneth Witwer’s lab in October 2017 as a visiting scholar and is now working on characterizing brain-derived extracellular vesicles (BD-EVs) in neurological diseases, includes Alzheimer's disease (AD) and HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND). The main purpose of her projects is to determine the potential of miRNAs, circular RNAs, and proteins in BD-EVs regulating neurodegenerative diseases.
